- Resin printing quality caught up to — and in a lot of cases passed — injection-molded plastic. Fine details like chainmail texture, weapon filigree, and facial expression that used to be exclusive to metal minis are now standard on a well-tuned resin printer.
- Licensed STL marketplaces matured. Artists who used to sell physical miniatures now license digital files, which means a small Canadian print shop can legally produce the exact same quality sculpt a big studio would, without you waiting six weeks for it to cross a border.
What This Actually Looks Like At The Table
We hear the same story from Dungeon Masters across Ontario over and over: the campaign gets better the moment the table stops asking “wait, what does the ogre look like again?” and starts seeing it. Scale becomes obvious. Positioning becomes obvious. The players who lean on visual memory suddenly have something to lean on.
